PhD Student Forum for ESWEEK 2020

Embedded Systems Week (ESWeek) 2020 will host a PhD Student Forum, which will be organized as a session of lightning talks followed by a panel discussion and a series of poster presentations in the ESWeek by the students.

The forum will provide an interactive platform for doctoral students to discuss their ongoing work towards their Ph.D. with a panel of experienced researchers in the field and offer an opportunity for the doctoral students to establish a professional network with peers and experts in the research community. It will also help the students to increase the visibility of their ongoing work and gather feedback from ESWeek participants. The panelists will share their experience and offer advice on how to be successful as a Ph.D. student and start a career as a researcher.

Each prospective PhD student participant should submit an extended abstract no more than two pages as the sole author about the PhD dissertation work. It should include the title of the dissertation, the name, affiliation and contact information of the student, advisor name(s), research statement/hypothesis of the PhD dissertation, proposed approaches, anticipated contributions, results achieved so far, and the research planned ahead. The abstracts will be reviewed by the PhD Student Forum committee considering its quality and relevance to the ESWeek. Authors of accepted submissions are expected to attend the forum in person to present both a lighting talk and a poster. The best presentations will be recognized through awards.

There will be no separate registration fee for the forum and all student participants should have registrations of ESWeek.  If there is any question please contact the Ph.D. Student Forum chair Dr. Liang Cheng (cheng AT Lehigh DOT edu).
